AAP hit out at government over the rollback of DDSSY

GOA: AAP has hit out at the government over the rollback of Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana (DDSSY) scheme for treatment of Covid patients in private hospitals. Stating that on September 24 AAP had urged chief minister Pramod Sawant to consider inclusion of the DDSSY scheme for Covid treatment, AAP’s interim convener Rahul Mhambre said, “It indicates that the CM was unhappy with the notification and hence pushed for the rollback. This also reflects the lack of coordination and deep divide between the CM and the health minister. Goans deserve an answer. The CM must address a press conference and share details behind the move.”

Mhambre said the “BJP’s strategy of hiding facts on Covid management and blaming people won’t last for long”. Staing that the inclusion of DDSSY in treating Covid patients could have been a major relief, Mhambre said that “the government is instead forcing Goans to pay exorbitant rates for treatment and made to suffer for the infighting and ego clashes of the chief minister and health minister”.
