GOA: Anwar Ali has told Mohammedan Sporting Club that he doesn’t mind the high risk that could see him suffer a cardiac arrest on the field, should he start playing competitive football again. The India U-17 World Cup 2017 star has been out of action since he was diagnosed with a ‘congenital heart condition’ last year. The results prompted him to mutually agree a termination with Mumbai City FC, since the club kept him away from training sessions.
Anwar, 19, was then sent to Rennes in France where a team of experts – the best in the business – examined him. The medical report from Dr Francois Carre, chief of the medical department of sports medicine at the University Hospital of Rennes, left nobody in doubt.
