GOA:CM Pramod Sawant said that the state government has decided to construct a new Raj Bhavan, and that initial processes like identification of land and its design could be tendered before April next year.
Sawant told that the decision was taken following a PWD report that it has become difficult to repair and maintain the structure. The Cabo, which houses the Raj Bhavan, was the seat of power during the Portuguese era, and also residence of the governor general.
