GOA: For the first time, a fashion week that took place in Goa is moving online, and paying a tribute to legendary designer Wendell Rodricks. The event is focused on sustainability in resort wear and the designs by Wendell will take centrestage at the live stream. This will be the first show by the label since his death in February this year. “I am very happy that in spite of Wendell passing away, we have been able to send some of his garments to this show,” says Jerome Marrel, Wendell’s partner.
Along with Wendell’s designs, Ken Ferns and Nidhi Munim will showcase their new collections at the live stream of India Beach Fashion Week on Sunday. The show was shot at a beach club in Candolim with Goan models or models based in Goa. “It’s a show curated with three designers from the shores of Goa, to be streamed to people all over the world. The world is fighting with a lot of negativity, and we aim to bring some brightness, happiness and freshness.
