GOA: The fish market at Mapusa, which was shut since August 7, reopened with only a few vendors carrying on their business.
The Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) had shut down the fish market as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of coronavirus after a fish vendor from Nerul selling fish in the market had tested positive for Covid-19.
“We opened the fish market from today, but people must take precaution and avoid unnecessary crowding,” MMC chairperson Ryan Braganza said.
