GOA: The state government has cancelled a notification it issued three days go that covered Covid-19 treatment under the Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana (DDSSY) as it has decided to revise the rates. Health minister Vishwajit Rane said that the cancellation came after consulting chief minister Pramod Sawant. “This notification doesn’t make sense and it has to be cancelled a fresh notification will be issued in consultation with the CM,” Rane said.
Sawant said “the government will look into the matter” with regards to the discrepancies in the rates for Covid treatment notified under the DDSSY the state’s cashless medical cover and the fees charged by private hospitals for Covid treatment. The notification covered treatment for Covid patients in empanelled private hospitals under DDSSY.
