International travellers started booking holidays to Goa

GOA:  The travel and tourism association of Goa (TTAG) said that charter and other international travellers would start booking their holidays to Goa from November. It also said that if there’s an announcement this month declaring the date of resumption of international flights, the state can expect its first charter in December.

“We are keeping our fingers crossed. We are hoping that there will be some announcement this month. We will meet the tourism secretary next week,” said TTAG president Nilesh Shah. Even as Russian charter companies have already reserved parking slots at Goa international airport, Shah said that the actual movement would start only after the announcement lifting the ban on international flights is made. “Though TUI UK has cancelled its travel plan to Goa till December 18, we expect bookings from Russia to start in November if an announcement allowing charters happens this month,” he said.
