Extending support to the protestors of the South Western Railway’s double tracking project, leader of opposition Digambar Kamat on Monday urged chief minister Pramod Sawant to do a re-think on the project by considering public sentiments.
Earlier, a delegation of Villagers Action Committee against the SWR’s doubling project led by chairperson Orville Dourado Rodrigues presented a memorandum to Kamat seeking his support.
“The Villagers Action Committee has mentioned various aspects of the danger to be caused to the state,” Kamat said. The Margao MLA has also all local legislators to take up the issue with the chief minister. Curtorim Congress MLA Aleixo Lourenco Reginaldo has also extended his support.
