MOG been curating interesting activities to keep kids engaged

Moms of Goa (MOG), a support group for expecting and new moms has been curating interesting activities to keep kids engaged, while at home. They’ve now introduced daily activities like Mompreneurs Monday for young moms to promote their businesses, Tasty Tuesday to share kid-friendly recipes, Wonderworks Wednesdays for arts, crafts, DIYs, singing, dancing and more, Triumph Thursdays to celebrate and acknowledge achievements, Photogenic Fridays to share photos and videos, Saturday Sale for putting up toys and other stuff by kids on sale and Swap and Share Sundays to swap books and toys to ensure kids get to read new books without investing in buying new books.

On Wednesday, they had a creative activity — MOG Wonderworks Challenge. Their first activity included building a balance scale with any material and medium. “We share ideas so other moms can learn and replicate it with their kids. Now due to the lockdown, many moms are not able to stop their kids from watching TV. So we have the wonderworks challenge every Wednesday to keep them occupied. This brings out the child’s creativity. Every Wednesday I am going to give them a challenge and get all the kids to participate. We were five friends who came together to support each other, but now we have so many women join us. We are over 200 moms as a part of the group,” says Dr Millisha Silveira, one of the founding members of the group.
