Lockdown will not control the spike in Covid-19 cases: Kamat

GOA: Chief minister Pramod Sawant’s three-day partial lockdown is a knee-jerk reaction to the surge in Covid-19 cases and is a reflection of the BJP’s defective administration, said leader of the opposition Digambar kamat.

The three-day lockdown will not control the spike in Covid-19 cases in Goa said Kamat, who instead called for a detailed action plan to tackle the cases.“The lockdown announced by Goa chief minister is a haphazard reaction to our demand of plan of action and a white paper on covid and definitely not the solution to control the spike in cases in Goa,” said Kamat.

“We will be able to give our suggestions on the handling of Covid situation only after we receive factual information through action plan of the government and release of white paper,” Chodankar said in a press note.
