GOA: A delegation of traditional vendors from Mapusa has demanded that they be allowed to sell their wares inside the municipal market as they have already lost business because of the pandemic. The chairman of All Goa Merchants Federation, Narayan Gadekar, along with a delegation of Mapusa merchants, met chairperson of the Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) Ryan Braganza, chief officer Kabir Shirgaonkar and MLA Joshua D’Souza.
Vendors told MMC officials that without displaying their wares they cannot attract customers. They also requested the municipality to waive the penalty which was imposed for not paying the rent.
