GOA: Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao was readmitted to a private hospital after he developed a fever. Alemao, who tested positive for Covid-19 last week, had been discharged after two days of hospitalisation.
Dr Shekhar Salkar, chief of clinical services at the hospital where NCP’s lone legislator is being treated, said that his condition is fine. He said that former deputy chief minister Ramkrishna ‘Sudin’ Dhavalikar, who is also undergoing treatment for Covid-19 at the hospital, is stable.
“A team of doctors from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), who are currently in Goa, have also examined both the MLAs,” Dr Salkar said. The AIIMS team was rushed to Goa on Monday night after Ayush minister Shripad Naik’s oxygen saturation level dropped. Naik has been battling Covid-19 for the last two weeks.
