Goa : Interim all Goa convenor Rahul Mahambre on Tuesday took a very critical stance of the politics played by BJP and Congress and likened the two parties to a poultry farm. Stating that AAP is the only option for the people of Goa, he said, “Congress could not form the government despite getting the mandate. BJP took the opportunity as Congress sold out to them, like chicken from a poultry farm.”Mahambre, who was in Benaulim to induct 23 new members in the party, said the 2022 general elections will be a revolution as the change has started in Benaulim with youth voluntarily joining the AAP, shedding the age-old shackles of fear.Commenting of the resignation of former South Goa convenor Rodney Almeida from the party, he said it was over bitter difference of opinion with other party members, but the party appreciates his hard work.
Mahambre said that according to a survey carried out by the party, they have realised that the people are tired of both Congress and BJP and are leaning towards AAP.When reminded that AAP keeps harping on the Delhi model for Goa, which has miserably failed once, and that Almeida’s resignation was partly because of the Delhi leadership, he said the model was being projected because of what that government has done for the common man in terms of schools, healthcare and in social sectors.Pointing out they had announced that 53 new members had joined the party, but only 23 names were read out, Mahambre said maybe the weather did not permit others to come to the venue.
