Goa: Senior intelligence officer with the directorate of revenue intelligence (DRI), Rajesh Dabas, has been booked by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for allegedly acquiring disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs 1.5 crore.
The income was acquired during the period from January 1, 2004, to September 20, 2020, in his name as well as in the name of his family members, disproportionate to his known sources of income, additional superintendent of police and head of CBI, Goa, C B Ramadevan said.
Ramadevan said that they received information from a reliable source in this regard. Dabas intentionally enriched himself illicitly while working as superintendent of customs, Goa, and senior officer DRI, Goa, during the check period, “A regular case has been registered and entrusted to deputy SP CBI, Santhosh Kumar, for investigation,” Ramadevan said.
