GOA: A team of firemen from Bicholim fire station retrieved the body of a 10-year-old boy from a laterite stone quarry at Nadora, in Pernem taluka. Sources said the victim, Arif Panchmhaldar from Ardhawada in Calangute, had come with his family for a nature trek in Nadora when he accidentally fell into the quarry and drowned.
The fire station team was led by sub-officer Mukund Gawandi, Panchmhaldar’s body was retrieved by fireman Vishant Vaigankar, The other members of the team were Lovshin Pille, Bharat Mhalshekar, Mahesh Naik and Gitesh Naik.
