Weekly video by the Candolim primary health centre

GOA: A weekly video by the Candolim primary health centre (PHC) reminding citizens to spare 12 minutes at 12 noon for 12 weeks to ensure no water is accumulated in flower pots, barrels or coconut shells, appears to have been effective in curtailing the spread of dengue in Saligao, which falls under its jurisdiction.

In fact, the village has not reported a single case of the vector-borne disease so far, Candolim PHC medical officer Dr Roshan Nazareth, said. Apart from a slew of awareness videos shared on YouTube, the PHC has also implemented anti-larval measures and has roped in the village panchayat to monitor the situation frequently.
